I loved the simplicity and elegance of this dress and fell in love at first sight! I went ahead and tried it on at home even thought it was a smaller size and couldn’t wait to see it with my actual measurements. To my surprise, it fit beautifully and I only had to make a couple of tiny alterations for it to be perfect. It looked amazing and I felt fantastic in it, this dress really made my black wedding dress dreams come true. Avery Austin has been a great company to deal with they made my transaction very smooth and I even received my dress earlier than expected!
The dress was very flattering but felt super stiff and felt a bit cheaper than a similar dress i tried on in a store that was for a comparable price

I bought this dress after I had ordered a try-on dress. It’s so beautiful! The mesh is very subtle and the floral illusion pattern is very detailed. I’m so excited and can’t wait to walk down the aisle in this dress!
I wasn't able to get one in my size to try on, and the one I tried on was 1-2 sizes too big, so it was hard to tell what the bodice would really look like in the correct size even when using the try-on clamps (especially since I am not busty). Overall, it was a simple yet elegant style. I very much considered this to be the dress, but went with something different. The material felt substantial and not cheap or shiny, since it's more of a matte satin. The lace back is a nice touch too.
I ordered the Ellie gown through the “Try at Home” program, and I was truly impressed by the craftsmanship. The quality and construction exceeded my expectations—the gown feels beautifully made and luxurious. It’s crafted from duchess satin, though in photos it appears more like a slipper satin, which was my only minor concern. Ultimately, I decided to keep it as there wasn’t enough time to place a new order, and I’m so glad I did. Overall, I’m very pleased with the gown and feel it offers exceptional quality for the price.

I bought a try-at-home sample dress because I didn’t have time to wait for a new one and potentially get it altered before my wedding. I wanted to try a size 8, but since only size ranges were available, I ended up with a size 10 due to time constraints. After purchasing, I found stains on the inside layers that showed through, but my seamstress was able to remove them. Alterations cost me nearly twice the price of the dress. The top didn’t fit as squarely as pictured on the model, likely because of the larger size. Still, I loved the dress, its price, and quality. Four stars—I wish I could have picked the exact sizes to try on, which might have saved on alterations.
Even though the dress was not my size, but quality was excellent companies materials that they use the upmost quality and is worth every penny that they ask for it is beautifully made, and I will be buying the dress that I choose for my wedding day from this company

This dress is stunning but it runs SO small. I usually wear a size 6, sometimes 8. I started with the 6 for the try on because it was what was in stock. I couldn't even get it on my body. I returned it and ordered a size 10. I was able to pull it up and see how it generally looked on me but it would not zip. Not one inch would it zip. Awaiting the next size up available. A 16. Usually a 6... If a 14 were available I would have tried that first. Moral of the story, save yourself some money. Order several sizes up. Don't even think about this dress in less than 2 sizes up. Probably 3. But man she's stunning.
It's beautiful and just what I always dreamed of. I think the only thing that would make it better would be a way to bustle it. I'm so excited to wear it on my wedding day. 5'5" wearing size 8 for reference.

Fit very true to size except for the bust. I wear a 14-16 in standard sizing and received the size 22. I have a larger bust and the cups were still far too large. The dress itself is stunning. The perfect amount of shimmer and lace.
I did a home try-on for a wedding dressing. It was the most convenient thing ever!! The dress shipped fast and they packed everything I would need for a home try on! The clips, tape measure, and the shipping label to send back! The experience was great! The dress was absolutely beautiful! 100/10 recommend Avery Austin!

The home try on process is fantastic. The dresses are in incredible condition and great quality. Unfortunately the sizing just runs very small! I’m a size 18 and even the 20 would not fit! It makes me worried to purchase a dress from your store because the 22 might even be too small?
I just wish the sizes were more true to fit.

This was my favorite out of all the dresses I tried on at home. It is beautifully made, has a vintage/timeless feel, and is surprisingly comfortable and light. I absolutely love the buttons all down the back of the dress, as well as the sweetheart neckline and off-shoulder look. I am so excited to wear this dress on my wedding day! :)
